Iron Doors, Personalized.

We recently finished installation on this custom iron door, personalized with the client’s family initial by incorporating the “W” as the door pull. The double door stands over 12 feet high and 8 feet wide. The client wanted a custom “cool silver” finish to complement the metallic details found throughout the home’s interior. The final effect is quite stunning!




















We worked closely with Hacienda Restorations, LLC and with interior designer Jane Dugan to complete this custom order which also included a custom iron door for the master bath.     


So this project had us thinking about monograms.  

Did you know that monograms were first used as currency? Appearing on clay pieces with the current ruler’s initials, these coins played a part in the transition of the bartering system to money exchange. Recognized as a royal signature, the monogram’s use continued to evolve through the Victorian era for personal use as a symbol of place in society.

Although, they have transcended royalty’s use alone, monograms still carry a distinguished air about them. Appearing on all kinds of products for the home, like…
