What Blogs and Sites Do You Like?

We recently added Nancy Hugo’s blog, Kitchen and Bath Chatter to our “Blogs & Sites We Like!” list. Nancy stays on top of what’s happening in the valley. She lists design related events, CEU workshops, seminars and many networking opportunities scheduled throughout the Phoenix metro area.

Here’s a neat effect created by using cast, textured glass with multi-colored, glass mosaic squares – fused together. Very fun and fanciful, kind of like confetti.

Imagine all the possibilities, different glass textures, and different color combinations…

A great thing about offering custom product design is we get to work on such a wide variety of projects, each influenced by different architectural styles. We thought it would be fun to show you a few design sketches by our very own artist and designer, Dina Petruzzi. These designs are proposed for the entrance of a very modern home.


Custom art glass and crafted ironwork make up these stunning, sculptural doors, which become truly, functional art.

Congratulations Werner Segarra!

Gebert Contemporary in Scottsdale AZ opened its 2010 season with the exhibition: "Vaqueros de la Cruz del Diablo" works by the talented photographer and artist Werner Segarra. Our Ronna and Sheldon Nitzky attended to congratulate and support their friend Werner.

The show introduces nearly 20 works in color and black & white and shares with the viewer a rich experience found in Segarra's beautiful images. His close relationship with and love of Huasabas, a small town in Sonora, Mexico situated in the Sierra Madre Mountains, is reflected in this collection. The exhibition portrays the beauty and hardship of everyday life of these people who carry on traditions that are quietly disappearing.

"Vaqueros de la Cruz del Diablo" continues through the end of January at Gebert Contemporary. You can meet the artist, Werner Segarra, Thursday nights during the month!
